Short summary
The Qingdao cold water mass significantly influences aquaculture in China since it is situated near the Chinese coastline. Based on three-dimensional numerical simulation results, we find a clockwise current structure that exists around the Qingdao cold water mass; furthermore, we analyze the tidal and wind forcings' effects on the horizontal and vertical circulation around the Qingdao cold water mass.
